Original Blueprints for the frame of the Russian Buran Space Shuttle. This 40" X 23" blueprint is signed by the Russian designers, controllers and technicians. It shows many technical specifications & details and was used to build an actual Buran Spacecraft.

It is an important, rare piece
of Russian Space History.

The Buran Shuttle is almost identical to NASA's Space Shuttle.

The Buran Space Shuttle made one
unmanned space flight on November 15, 1988.

The blueprint shows details and specifications for
the frame work of the Russian Buran Space Shuttle.

The ship was launched by the Energia,
which is the world's most powerful rocket.
It returned to a runway landing in Russia.

This is what remains
of a Buran Spacecraft.
It now sits, missing
many pieces,  deteriorating
in Moscow.

As you can see, the Buran looks very much like the American shuttle and the Russians admit borrowing the blueprints. But it is not an exact copy of NASA's Shuttle. The maiden flight was unmanned, controlled only by computers. With it's deteriorating economy, the Russians could not justify the expense of making the Buran shuttles operational, and the original and several uncompleted models today sit in storage.

Here is our Buran Space Shuttle Model together with our Buran Cockpit Window
on display at the
Museum of Discovery & Science
in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
