SOKOL Space Suit Mirror

    FLOWN on MIR
SOKOL Space Suit Mirror.
Signed by Cosmonaut
Gennady Ivanovich Padalka

This is an authentic, autographed
Piece of Russian Space History.

 The blue strap
is hand signed by
cosmonaut  Gennady Padalka and says:
"MIR/TM-28 G.Padalka".

These types of mirrors are used by cosmonauts on their suit to be able to observe areas on their back. Similar type mirrors are currently used on the International Space Station.

This particular mirror was worn on the sleeve of cosmonaut Gennady Ivanovich Padalka during the Soyuz/MIR TM-28 mission from 8/13/98 to 2/28/99.

Here is Cosmonaut Vladimir N. Dezhurov, Expedition 3 flight engineer, wearing a Russian Sokol suit while his Soyuz spacecraft is docked to the International Space Station (ISS). Note the mirror on his right sleeve.  >

This picture is of two cosmonauts training at Star City in Russia.

Note the mirrors on their right sleeves.

In July, 2003 we were fortunate enough to actually acquire this authentic, flown Russian space artifact which went to the MIR Space Station and back

We also have a complete, authentic Russian SOKOL Space Suit
