A multi-media presentation on the Sun.

The Dynamic Sun is a CD based multi-media educational presentation on the Sun and its effects on the Earth. It contains an interactive presentation of 66 slides with over 30 embedded video clips. Versions are included for high school, middle school, and grade school students with teacher's guides and web links as well. 

The goal of this CD-ROM is to educate, entertain, and develop student interest in the Sun and in exploring science.
 The presentation includes:

  • Shows recent images and video clips on the Sun from SOHO,
  • Presents factual information on the Sun and touch on numerous sun-related topics,
  • Presents and explain how explosions on the Sun occur and how they affect Earth (i.e., auroral lights, power outages, etc.),
  • Tells about the SOHO project and how the Sun is being studied.
  • Provides information on available resources on the Sun.
