This is a hand made presentation Model of the Russian Vostok manned spacecraft built by the
Energia Company.

It is an authentic piece
of Russian Space History.

This is one of only a few that were custom made at the Energia Space Corporation. It is a 10 inch, resin and metal model of the USSR/Russian Cosmonautics Federation used for presentations in anniversaries of Vostok manned flights 1961-1963. Base of model autographed by Vice-Chairman of Cosmonautics Federation cosmonaut-51 Anatoliy Berezovoy (former commander of 211 days flight Soyuz T-5/Salyut-7). We also have a certificate signed by cosmonaut Berezovoy.

The model has hundreds of miniscule details and is the result of several months of work.

The ball-shaped capsule contained the cosmonaut(s) and his ejection seat, miscellaneous pieces of research equipment, observation ports, and atmospheric re-entry protection. The instrument module underneath served as the mounting bus for the life-support system oxygen and nitrogen bottles, miscellaneous instrumentation, and the retro-rocket system. Various communications antennas are visible at the top of the re-entry capsule and on the instrument module on the side of the ship.

This type of ship carried into orbit
the first 6 Soviet Vostok cosmonauts:

Gagarin in the Vostok-1 first manned flight
Titov in Vostok-2 first entire day in orbit
Nikolayev & Popovich in Vostok-3/4 first joint flight
Bikovskiy & Tereshkova- first woman in
space Vostok-5/6 joint flight.
