"Camp
Wisdom Chosen For
New Science and Technology Center"
Circle Ten Council has been notified that it has
received $50,000 in start-up supplies for a new Science
and Technology Center, which will be located at Camp
Wisdom. Richard Newman, President of High-Tech
Productions of Boca Raton, Florida has made these
supplies available to Circle Ten as a part of an effort
to have a Science and Technology Center available to
Scouts in every state.
In announcing this exciting gift to Circle Ten, Scout
Executive Gene Stone commented, "This new center
will play an important role in fulfilling Scouting's
mission as an educational organization. We feel the
exhibits and hands on projects that the center will
feature will support the traditional BSA advancement
program and curriculum needs of our schools that use the
Learning For Life program".
The new High-Tech Productions Science and Technology
Center will be located in the old Camp Wisdom
headquarters building that will undergo a make over to
house the Center. Work will begin later this summer with
an opening of the new facility possible for late Fall.
